Märklin 60226 - Central Station CS 3 Digital Control Unit

The Central Station 3 is a digital multi-protocol control unit equipped with a high-resolution modern color touch screen, as well as housing 2 speed controllers and an integrated central track control panel. This allows for easy and comfortable control of both locomotives and the entire system. The CS 3 is capable of switching up to 32 functions for locomotives, and can control up to 320 Motorola or 2048 DCC magnetic items. Additionally, it features 2 built-in locomotive card readers, an SD card slot for memory expansion, and an integrated speaker. A powerful booster is also integrated to provide driving and switching current to the system.

The CS 3 is multi-device compatible, and can be used in conjunction with additional CS 3 Plus units with the optional cable (60123) for network connection. It also has 2 built-in USB hosts for devices like a mouse, keyboard, or USB stick, as well as a USB charging socket, network connection, connections for 2 mobile stations, and connections for external speakers and the Märklin bus system. External S88 connections can be made via link s88 (60883). The maximum load capacity on the connection track is 5 A, and on the programming track is 1.2A.

It is important to note that the Central Station 3 should only be used with the 60061 switching power supply (60101 for track 1 and L51095 for LGB), not with transformers like the 60052. When using the 60061 switching power supply, the maximum output is 58 VA and a maximum current of 3 A. Using the 60216 with the switching power supply 60101/L51095 results in a maximum current of 5 A, recommended exclusively for track 1/LGB. The cable cross section should be larger than 0.5 mm². The switching power supply is not included.

With dimensions of 320 x 195 x 80 mm, the Central Station 3 offers advanced features like road control, including shuttle train control, and provides a comprehensive solution for controlling model train systems.
